Spike is one of the photographers in our national network and we have used him on a number of occasions, but I felt compelled to write a recommendation on the back of his latest job for us, the first with which I was directly involved. During the course of the ten days building up to the job, and throughout the day itself, the timescales were constantly moving, due to the difficult logistical nature of the job - photographing a multi-million pound piece of subsea equipment being loaded onto a specially chartered Antonov aircraft. Each time the schedule changed, there was no complaint from Spike, even when, on the day - a Sunday - the schedule was moved back several hours, to the extent that Spike was on site for 10 hours. We kept in contact during the day and Spike delivered great results.
I cannot praise my experience of working with Spike highly enough.
I first met Spike when we needed some shots of a Radio Station we had just built in Mansfield, Notts. The reason we needed them was because this was the first time that we had actaully split our desks in 2 so that a Computer screen could slot in the middle. Up until then our desks were one piece like we had supplied to talk Sport and Virgin Radio and this was our evolution. Spike took some great shots and was creative in every way. I was so impressed that we quickly got him down to photograph our entire range for our then new online shop.
Subsequent jobs were Spike photographing Bruno Brookes Radio and TV School that we had built and a launch of a station in Trafalgar Square plus our new Outside Broadcast Vehicle. Spike and I have become firm friends and depsite the distance he in the UK me in Australia, I have no doubts that you should hire Spike for whatever photographic work you need. You will be making a great investment ..you get a cool, calm great professional award winning guy who has photographed everyone from the Dalai Lama to Tony Blair!
